TTRP is led by its Director, T. Sasitharan, who co-founded the TTRP with the late theater doyen Kuo Pao Kun. Our faculty has experience in artistic practice as well as teaching, and come to us from all over the world.

TTRP is a not-for-profit programme run as an independent division of Practice Performing Arts Centre Ltd, a charity registered in Singapore (Charity registration no. 0772). Practice's other divisions are the Practice Performing Arts School, which provides theatre and dance training for a wide community, and The Theatre Practice, which produces classic and original theatre in Chinese and English.

TTRP was made possible by seed funding (2000 to 2002) from the LEE Foundation, Sim Wong Hoo and the National Arts Council, and has also received support from the Japan Foundation Asia Centre for training in classical theatre systems, Creative Technology Ltd, and the Hong Leong Foundation.

TTRP continues to receive support from the Lee Foundation, Sim Wong Hoo, the Asian Cultural Centre for the participation of various artist teachers, All Nippon Airways (ANA) and Hotel Royal.
